The Teacher

When she had said this, she went and called her sister Mary, saying in private, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you." JOHN 11:28

After Jesus' encounter with Martha, He asks her to get Mary for Him. She goes to Mary privately, letting her know that Jesus, the Teacher, is calling for her. Martha refers to Jesus as the Teacher because they were both his disciples, believers are disciples of Jesus Christ, and believers are always students of the Lord.

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. MATTHEW 11:29

Dear Church, How are you growing and developing as Jesus' disciple? How is He challenging you today? Let us submit to His teachings, follow Christ and become more like Him.

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. EPHESIANS 5:1-2
