Stand Firm in the Faith

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. - 1 CORINTHIANS 16:13-14

What does it take to stand firm in the faith? We must have a vision of who God is to have confidence and trust in God. What are some of the attributes of God? Here are some characteristics of God, to name a few. You can add more to this list. 

  • God is Infinite.

  • God is Immutable (Unchanging)

  • God is Good

  • God is Love

  • God is All-Powerful

  • God is Omniscient (All-Knowing)

  • God is Omnipresent (Everywhere)

  • God is Faithful

  • God is Just

  • God is Holy

We must also stand firm in what God has done for us. Jesus Christ paid our debt. If you belong to Christ, you are completely forgiven for all your sins, and Jesus paid it all. 

Dear Church, whether you are in the midst of prosperity, success, hardship, or failure, stand firm in the faith, looking to Jesus Christ, our faithful God.
