Community Accountability
Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
who walk in the law of the Lord! PSALM 119:1
During our Sunday discussion, we studied the first stanza of Psalm 119 and discovered that it is centered around the psalmist's desire to love and commit to God's Word. This theme is recurring throughout the Psalm, and it got us thinking about how we can develop that same love and commitment in our lives.
As we shared, finding time to study God's Word in our fast and busy world is a challenge, but we concluded that it is essential to prioritize it in our lives. One way we can do this is through community accountability. However, making God's Word a priority requires adjustments to our busy schedules and priorities.
Dear Church, Let us take a moment to reflect on how we can prioritize God's Word in our daily lives. May we also seek community accountability and strive to challenge the status quo as a church. Let us pray for community accountability and commit to challenging the status quo as a church. We are too busy not to study God's Word.
