Blessed
Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart, PSALM 119:2
Today's bible study will explore the first stanza (א) of Psalm 119. The Psalmist reflects on the benefits of embracing and following the Lord's law. Despite acknowledging his limitations, he desires unwavering obedience to God's commandments, knowing that this leads to a life free from shame and full of praise. The Psalmist's love for God's law is evident, and he desires to meditate on it constantly. He understands that God's word is flawless and pure, offering direction and wisdom in life. The Psalmist acknowledges the benefits of obedience, including protection from sin and guidance in living a righteous life. The goal of the whole psalm is for each congregation member to share in this eager yearning.
Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! PSALM 119:2
