Life Change

because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and believing in Jesus. JOHN 12:11

A genuine encounter with Jesus Christ results in transformation within an individual, affecting their entire being from the inside out. This profound change is a key indicator of true conversion as one moves from spiritual death to a new life in Christ.

In today's text, John records that after witnessing the miracle of Lazarus, many were renouncing their old ways and turning to Jesus, even in the face of intense social and cultural pressures to adhere to their religious traditions from the chief priests and Pharisees. This serves as a powerful testament to the life-changing power of Jesus and the gospel message.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

Dear Church, during this Lenten season, let us reflect on our lives and how we demonstrate the mark of being true disciples of Jesus Christ. It is essential to consider how our encounters with Jesus have transformed us and how we can continue to grow in our faith. Let us seek to manifest the mark of true discipleship, including love for God and one another, a desire to follow Jesus, and obedience to His word.
