Thy Word
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. PSALM 119:105
Starting today, we will begin studying Psalm 119 together as a church. Why Psalm 119? Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem, with each section beginning with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, making 22 sections in total. This structure provides a systematic and organized way to study the Bible and encourages its readers to reflect on the verse in a deeper and more meaningful way. The psalm expresses love and devotion to God's word and serves as a reminder of the transformative power of the Bible in our lives.
My prayer is that by studying Psalm 119 together, we can deepen our understanding of the Bible and the importance of God's word in our lives. The psalm reminds us of the grace and mercy offered to us through the Bible and encourages us to meditate on it day and night.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. PROVERBS 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, let us dig into God's word together, learning from each other's perspectives and insights.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
