Listening Ears

Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
For he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
and the sheep of his hand. PSALM 95:6-7a

In today's verses, the psalmist calls God's people to come before the Lord, the Creator of all things, with hearts full of humility and ears ready to listen. He reminds us that the LORD is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. This imagery reminds us of Jesus' words in John 10. He is a caring Shepherd who watches over us and provides for our needs.

I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. JOHN 10:14-15

Dear Church, as we reflect on these verses, let us take a moment to listen to God's voice today by opening our hearts and minds to His guidance, wisdom, and love.
