Hidden Sin
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. PSALM 32:5
When we sin, it is easy to try to cover up our mistakes and hide them from others. We might feel ashamed, embarrassed, or afraid of the consequences of our actions. However, this approach only creates more guilt and shame, making it harder for us to move forward and heal.
Instead, David encourages us in today's text to acknowledge our sins and openly confess them to God. When we admit our sins and confess our transgressions, God forgives us!
Dear Church, as we meditate on today's verse, let us take time to examine our hearts, confess our sins, and seek restoration with God.
