Revelation of the Father through Jesus
Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. John 14:10 (ESV)
In the Gospel of John, Jesus often spoke about His relationship with the Father. In today’s text, Jesus highlights the complete unity between Himself and the Father. This verse reveals the fundamental truth that Jesus is not only connected to the Father but is, in fact, a revelation of the Father Himself.
Jesus wanted His disciples and all future believers to understand this essential truth: When they saw Him, they saw the Father. He perfectly represented the Father's heart, character, and power. In Jesus, the invisible God became visible, tangible, and accessible to humanity.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, Hebrews 1:3
Jesus' life was not merely a historical event but the ultimate revelation of God's love, grace, mercy, and redemption plan for all. The way to the Father is the Son.
Dear Church, as followers of Jesus, we are called to imitate Him. We are to reflect the Father's love and character in our lives, just as Jesus did, and walk in His footsteps. Remember that the same Spirit who dwelled in Jesus now resides in us. As we trust in Him, seek His presence, and surrender to His will, let us become vessels of His mercy, agents of His healing, and conduits of His love to a world in desperate need of Him.
