Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is a special day that reminds us of the significant role of fathers. They provide love, guidance, and support. Today, as we celebrate, let us reflect on a powerful promise from the Gospel of John that reveals the deep love of our Heavenly Father for us.

In John 14:13-14, Jesus makes an amazing promise to His disciples. He says,

"Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." These words carry great significance and reveal the heart of our Heavenly Father, who desires to bless His children abundantly.

The key to unlocking the promise lies in asking in Jesus' name. It means aligning our requests with His will, character, and purpose. When we pray in the name of Jesus, we acknowledge His authority, surrendering our desires to His divine wisdom. Through faith in His name, we confidently approach the Father, knowing He hears our requests.

Jesus assures us that the Father will respond when we ask in His name. It is important to note that the Father's response is not solely for our benefit but, more importantly, for His glory. As we trust in His provision, our lives become testimonies to His faithfulness and love.

Dear Church, on this Father's Day, let us reflect on the heart of our Heavenly Father's love. He is a Father who invites us to come to Him. His love for us is immeasurable, and His desire to provide for our needs is unwavering. In times of joy and struggle, we can trust in His promise that He will do what we ask in Jesus' name.
