Mirror, mirror

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. -James 1:23-24

In today’s text, James describes the Bible as a mirror. Through scripture, we can examine and improve our spiritual condition. It also exposes our sin and our need for repentance. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Second Timothy 3:16,

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

The Well Church, what is God revealing to you today through scripture? Let us inspect and improve our spiritual condition by responding to Him.
