Stay the Course

But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. -James 1:25

In today's verse, James is reminding believers to persevere in faith and action. One can only remain in faith and action by looking "into the perfect law" that gives us freedom. Through the Holy Spirit's power and the gospel, believers are free to live as God creates us to live!

The Well Church, remember that you have been set free by the power of the Holy Spirit and the gospel. As the Apostle Paul writes,

"For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death." -Romans 8:2

Let us look to Christ today and persevere in action.
