Coming Joy

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return

and come to Zion with singing;

everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;

they shall obtain gladness and joy,

and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

—Isaiah 51:11

God is our redeemer and the source of our joy. In Isaiah 51:11, God’s word is that everlasting joy comes to all who believe in him. Believers shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee!

Jesus Christ fulfilled this promise by coming down on Christmas. The Well Church, this Advent season, let us keep these words of Isaiah in our hearts. Let us look to Jesus Christ and give Him praise for the everlasting joy we have in Him.
