Taking God for Granted (2-minute Devotional)

The more they were called,
the more they went away;
they kept sacrificing to the Baals
and burning offerings to idols. —Hosea 11:2

We take many things for granted. We assume that God’s love and protection will always be here for us. We take for granted that there will always be tomorrow to make things right with God. And as we make this assumption, we move further away from God. As the Israelites ignored Hosea’s prophetic warning, we often ignore God’s call assuming that we have time. Time is running out! Let us return to God and heed His call.
