Embrace Good (2-minute Devotional)

Israel has spurned the good; the enemy shall pursue him.
—Hosea 8:3

Have you ever decline an offer only to regret the decision? Whether it's an extended warranty on a product or quitting too early on a dream, we sometimes let a good thing go only to find out that it was the wrong decision. Hosea 8:3 warns us that when we forsake the good, something or someone hostile pursues us. And at that point, it is too late to reverse directions.

Let us remember today that God is good (Psalm 34:8). Do not forsake the good, but embrace Him today. It is not too late to return to your Father in Heaven (Luke 15:20). He is waiting.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
—Psalm 34:8
