What's in a name?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I yam going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
—John 14:12-14

Yesterday’s text (James 1:6) encouraged us to ask God in faith with no doubt. Today we are looking at Jesus’ instructions on a similar topic. It begins with faith in Jesus. Whoever has faith in Jesus will not only do the works that He did but also do greater things than Him because Jesus’ finished work on the cross.

The Well Church, praying in Jesus’ name means praying in a way consistent with his character and his will. Let us pray that our church will do greater works in His name. Let us boldly ask without doubting!
