Honesty

Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." - John 1:46

How honest are you when you are with others? In most gatherings, people have their guard up and are hesitant to be transparent with one another. People are afraid to be judged for thinking in a particular way, saying something that might offend someone, or not knowing about a specific subject. We have become great at pretending that all is good.

In today's text, we see Nathanael's honest with Philip. He speaks his doubt about Jesus by saying, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" He met Jesus and had faith because he was honest about his feelings towards the good news brought to him by Philip.

Brothers and sisters of The Well Church, do you have doubts about Jesus Christ? Is there something that He is saying or doing in your life that is challenging your faith? Let us be honest as Nathaneal and bring our questions to God and one another, which is the only way to grow in our faith. Let us be the church that God called us to be by being genuine with each other and growing together in faith.
