How can this be?

[4] Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" - John 3:4

When Jesus tells Nicodemus that he must be born again, he asks, as eloquently as he can, "What do you mean?"

When we read the bible, we often feel this way, don't we? How can this be? 

Brothers and sisters, without faith, the truth does not make sense. Do not give up hope. The bible is the truth, and there are times that we must struggle with it. If we did not, we would not need God. So, just as Nicodemus asks Jesus, we must go to him for answers. We need the Holy Spirit to guide us so that we can understand. Do not be shy. As it is written in Proverbs,

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths. - Proverbs 3:5–6

Even in our bible studies, if you do not understand a term or a concept, let us ask one another and the Holy Spirit to show us the answer.
