God's Word

For the word of the LORD is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the LORD. - Psalm 33:4-5

Merry Christmas!

We are four days away from Christmas. As we prepare for the day, let us not forget to worship and praise our Savior, Jesus Christ. Today's text points out that one reason we praise is God's Word. His word is upright; it holds true. Jesus affirms this in John 17:17. In his priestly prayer, he prays,

"Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth" (NLT).

Even when Mary, the mother of Jesus, did not fully understand God's word delivered by an angel, she humbly obeyed fully. She surrenders to God, declaring,

"Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word." - Luke 1:38

The Well Church, let us obey and submit to God's word remembering that his word is truth, and his word is holy, trustworthy, and unchangeable.
