His Love
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16
Today's verse is the most famous summary of the gospel of Jesus Christ. God's motivation for sending us his only Son to die on the cross so that we may have eternal life is love. The Apostle Paul restates this in his letter to the Romans, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners." - Romans 5:8 (NLT)
The Well Church, know that God is love, and as believers, if God lives in us, we live in love. Through Christ, we can love God and one another.
And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, "Which commandment is the most important of all?" Jesus answered, "The most important is, 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' The second is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these." - Mark 12:28-31
Let us boldly love God and one another through Christ Jesus our Lord.
