God Willing
Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” —James 4:15
"I'll see you tomorrow, Lord willing."
Many Christians will add the phrase, "Lord willing," at the end of a sentence to indicate that God controls all things. However, the phrase has become an empty automatic response one many give without too much thought.
Today's text is a reminder that we must always submit to God's will. Submitting to God's will is not easy and does not come naturally. There are many reasons why we struggle with submission. Perhaps one of the main reasons could be not knowing God's will. We can only know God's will when we have a genuine relationship with God. So, let me ask you, "What does your relationship with God look like?"
The Well Church, my prayer is that your relationship with God continues to grow. Spend time with Him in word and prayer. May He transform you from the inside-out as you respond to God's mercy.
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." — Romans 12;2
Let us live out our faith not merely with our words but also with our actions.
