Temptations

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. —James 4:7b

How do you deal with temptations? As we submit to God and follow Him, we often face temptations that can derail us. James suggests that when we resist the devil, he will flee. So we must actively fight against temptations. How do we do it?

Jesus gives us a great example in Luke 4. When the devil tempted Him in the wilderness, He resisted by quoting Scripture. With each temptation, he answered from Deuteronomy. He began each response with the phrase, "It is written."

The Well Church, let us hide God's word in our hearts so that we might not sin against God (Psalm 119:11). As we face temptations, let us
