The LORD is my rock

I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - Psalm 18:1-2

In Psalm 18, David found the LORD to be his protector against his enemies. David describes God with the following eight names:

  • my strength

  • my rock

  • my fortress

  • my deliverer

  • my shield

  • the horn of my salvation

  • my stronghold

Notice how he claims the LORD as his own God with the pronoun "my." He has a personal relationship with God. 

The Well Church, do you love the LORD? I want to encourage you to read the eight names. What was true to David is also true to all believers. Affirm your relationship with God. May He be your rock!
