Readiness

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. - Ephesians 6:15 (NLT)

Believers must always be ready to share the gospel. How does one do it? Isn't that the job of a pastor?

When Jesus restores a demon-possessed man in the Gospel of Mark, he begs to journey with Jesus. But Jesus did not permit him to join. However, he told him to share the gospel.

As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." - Mark 5:18-19

The man did not take a class on evangelism. He did not even spend a lot of time with Jesus. Jesus told him to tell people how much the Lord has done for him.

Brothers and sisters, we can only share the Good News of Jesus Christ when we have an authentic relationship with him. What is Jesus doing in your life today? Share it with someone today.
