Good vs. Evil

And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.' - Malachi 3:15

"Why do good things happen to bad people?" is a question we often ask as believers. Depending on our circumstances, it can be a fair question to ask God. However, when we direct our questions to others and not to God, it often leads to dissension or complaints. It may also give us the sense that we are permitted to do evil based on the apparent "blessings."

Such was the case with the people of God, and there is a stern warning against them in Malachi. Instead of complaining about God with one another, we must direct our complaints towards God.

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. - James 1:2–4

The Well Church, let us place our trust in the LORD and count our trials as joy as God perfects us. The LORD is sovereign over all things.
