God hears

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. - Malachi 3:16

Our God is omnipresent and omniscient, which means that he is everywhere and knows everything. For those who fear God, this brings great comfort. In our passage today, Malachi reminds us that God pays attention to our conversations and hears them. Therefore, it is vitally important for us to speak to one another in love.

How edifying are your conversations with one another? The Apostle Paul reminds us,

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. - Ephesians 4:29
