He Reigns!

Say among the nations, "The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity." - Psalm 96:10

Our God is sovereign. He reigns! What does this mean? It means that God is the ultimate source of power and authority. He is above all other gods, and He alone is worthy of our praise and worship. The prophet Jeremiah writes,

"Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you." - Jeremiah 32:17 (NIV).

The psalmist also reminds us that God established the world on His immutable character. He will return to judge with fairness one day - good news for all who place their trust in Jesus Christ.

The Well Church, let us rest in God's authority and power by submitting to Him. He is faithful and trustworthy. As Christ said,

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. - Matthew 10:29-31

Our God reigns!
