Confidence in God
But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you. Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me. - Psalm 5:7-8
In the passage we looked at yesterday, Psalm 5:4-6, David established that our God is a Holy God who hates sin. However, He is also a God of love. In today's verses, David proclaims that it is only through the abundance of His love that he can enter into God's house. This phrase comes from Exodus 34:6, describing God's compassion.
"The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness." - Exodus 34:6
The Well Church, let us place our trust in Jesus Christ. It is only through His blood that we can enter into God's presence. As Jesus said,
"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life." - John 5:24
Let us confidently go before Him!
