Be the Light
Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation. - 1 Peter 2:12
Did you know that doing good deeds is one way to point others to Christ?
In today's text, Peter refers to unbelievers as Gentiles. When believers do good deeds or honorable behavior, some will repent and glorify God. His teaching aligns with Jesus' teaching in Matthew. He says,
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16 (NIV)
The Well Church, what would unbelievers say about your life? Would they use the words honorable or proper? As launch day approaches, let us rely on the power of the Holy Spirit and walk with Christ. It is the only way we can conduct ourselves honorable before all people. Let us be the light of Christ.
