Son of God

"Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son." - 1 John 5:1

When it comes to the gospel, there are only those who believe in God's Son and those who do not. According to John, believing in Jesus as the Son of God is equal to believing in God. In other words, one cannot say that they believe in God and not in Jesus Christ. Additionally, John states,

"whoever does not believe God has made him a liar,"

meaning that those who say they believe in God but not in the Son are provoking God to his face.

Beloved Church, let us remember that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
