Praying the Bible

To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers." - John 10:3-5

Do you know the voice of Jesus? In today's text, Jesus claims that His sheep hear His voice, and He calls His own by name and leads them out. Additionally, He says that His sheep will not follow the voice of strangers. In our context, the voice of strangers represents anything or anyone that would draw our attention away from Jesus Christ.

How can we hear the voice of Jesus? Here are two practical ways: Scripture reading and prayer.

Dear Church, as we have been practicing praying as prescribed by the book, "Praying the Bible," let us continue to pray and read His word. This method is one of the best ways to hone our listening skills.
