Delivered from Darkness
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. - 1 Peter 2:9
In today's devotional, Anyabwile says that since Jesus delivered us from darkness, "as citizens of Christ's kingdom of light, we have redemption, forgiveness, and fellowship with God. He made us—who once relished the darkness—his treasured possession."
Dear Church, as the Advent candles grow brighter and brighter, let us praise God today and live as his treasured possession.
