God's Will
So the disciples said to one another, "Has anyone brought him something to eat?" Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work. - John 4:33-34
In today's text, Jesus explains to his disciples that doing the will of God and accomplishing his work feeds his soul, and it is more important than meeting his physical needs. There is a lesson for all believers in Jesus' teaching. Following God and discerning his will requires us to surrender our desires. As we spend more time with God, our desires will align with his.
"Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." - Psalm 37:4
Dear Church, what is God's will for your life? Let us seek his will by surrendering our desires and spending time with God in his word and prayer.
