Freedom in Christ
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. - Galatians 5:13
During this second week of Lent, let us think about the cross and the price that Christ paid for our freedom. We are forgiven. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 8,
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1
Dear Church, Christ did not set us free for us to live and focus on ourselves, and we are to use our freedom to love and serve one another. Who can you reach out to today to love and serve? As we look to the cross of Jesus Christ, ask the Holy Spirit to fill your heart today with His love as you serve those around you.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." - John 13:34–35
