Walking with God

So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.
- John 5:19

Jesus Christ, who is equal to God, is not independent of his Father, and the truth is, he can do nothing by himself. The Father and Son have different functions and roles, yet they are equal. Jesus' claim echos Moses' words to the congregation,

"And Moses said, "Hereby you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been of my own accord." - Numbers 16:28

The Well Church, apart from Christ, we cannot do anything. What areas of your life are you doing with your wisdom and strength? Let us be a church that works with God and not only for God.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
