Love and Service

For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.
- John 5:20

God is love, and the basis of the relationship among the Trinity is love. Jesus teaches that "the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing." As we know through the most famous bible verse, John 3:16, God the Father sent Jesus the Son based on love.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Romans 5:8

Brothers and sisters in Christ, God calls us to serve others. What is your heart's motivation when you serve? As we reflect on God's love for us today, let us remember to love and serve those around us. Let us love knowing that he first loved us.
