His Way

"For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?"

"Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?" - Romans 11:34–35

Do you believe that God is all-knowing and has his eyes on you? I don't know about you, but I often feel like I have to remind him about my urgent needs and give him some advice. My prayers are often directing God on what to do for me.

In describing God's infinite knowledge and splendor, the Apostle Paul quotes Isaiah and Job. No human being knows the mind of Christ apart from his revelation, and no one can be his advisor. Additionally, Paul reminds us that no one gives anything to God, and instead, everything we have comes from Him.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change." - James 1:17

The Well Church, as we reflect on God's word today, let us remember that our only response to God is worship. His way is not our way, but it is right and true. Let us follow him wholeheartedly today.
