God's Glory
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. - Romans 11:36
Our God is Almighty!
The Psalmist writes,
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure. - Psalm 147:5
Romans 11:36 reminds us that since all things are from God, through God, and for God, he deserves all the glory forever. We must give glory and honor to God. How do you give glory and honor to God?
In 1 Corinthians 10:31, the Apostle Paul states,
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."
He is not merely talking about giving glory to God when we are about to eat our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We must be mindful of our surroundings and our conduct. In 1 Corinthians 10, the Apostle Paul encourages believers to seek the good of their neighbors. He infers that we glorify God when we lay down our rights and freedom to love others and point them to Jesus Christ that they may be saved.
What rights do you need to lay down for the sake of sharing the gospel with your neighbors? Let us lean in on Jesus, who gave up his right for the sake of all believers, and share his love with those around us.
Soli Deo gloria.
