Last Sayings of Jesus (1)

During Holy Week, we will be meditating on Jesus' seven last sayings during his crucifixion. The first saying comes from Luke 23.

"Father, Forgive Them, for They Do Not Know What They Are Doing."
- Luke 23:34

Jesus demonstrates his own teaching from Matthew 5:45, which states, 

"But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

Dear Church, remember that Jesus died on the cross and shed his blood to forgive our sin. Let us look to the cross today and ask for forgiveness as we forgive those who trespass against us.
