Why?

And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick.

"Why do you follow Jesus?" is a profound question that we must answer. Many follow Jesus for the wrong reasons. The crowd that gathered in John 6 was following Jesus because of his ability to heal the sick, and many hopeless people came out for healing. However, if one comes to see Jesus only for physical healing, the person misses the point of Jesus.

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
- Mark 10:45

Brothers and sisters, let us reflect on the truth that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. Why are you following Jesus? Let us make sure that our primary motive is not for Jesus to help us with our temporary problems. Let us trust and obey him, for he is Lord of all.
