More than Enough
On the next day the crowd that remained on the other side of the sea saw that there had been only one boat there, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone. Other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. So when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats and went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. - John 6:22-24
Is Jesus enough for you?
The crowd that Jesus miraculously fed with bread and fish was only temporarily satisfied. They were hungry again and needed more food. And when a miracle only satisfies our physical needs, the effect is merely temporary. Even after Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, he died again.
When we seek Jesus for the wrong reasons, he will not satisfy us. The crowd was seeking Jesus for physical food and healing. Why are you seeking him?
The Apostle Paul instructs the church in Colossae,
"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:1-3
Dearly beloved, let us set our minds on things above, fixing our eyes on Jesus. Jesus is more than enough!
