One Change

When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, "Rabbi, when did you come here?" - John 6:25

"I am not ready yet" is a response I often hear from many brothers and sisters when I ask them to serve. More often than not, I learned the phrase as a Christian way of saying "No." Perhaps it is because we are too busy with other priorities, and we think we will have time to serve later. After all, Jesus will always be there for us, right?

The crowd thought that Jesus would be there another day to provide for their needs the next day, but he was not there. Without their knowledge, Jesus miraculously crossed the sea without a boat. The crowd had to search for Jesus, and Jesus did not fit into their plan.

The Well Church, it isn't reasonable to think that Jesus should fit into one's plan. However, like the crowd, we believe that way. As God's people, we need to fit into his plan. As we reflect on today's passage, let us reset our priorities and put Christ first. What is one change you need to make today to better fit into God's plan?

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. - Matthew 6:33
