Don't waste your life

Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal." - John 6:26-27

Everyone is seeking comfort, peace, and prosperity and will do whatever it takes to achieve them. Our eyes are set on material things. The universal problem is that our accomplishment is temporary, and our effort is useless. Once again, Jesus mentions to the crowd that eternal life comes only through him. He warns, "Do not work for the food that perishes."

Dear Church, are you working for the food that perishes? Are you seeking Jesus for temporary benefits? Jesus teaches us to work for the food that lasts to eternal life through him. Let us pour our energy by setting our minds and heart to seek Jesus.

Now set your mind and heart to seek the LORD your God. Arise and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy vessels of God may be brought into a house built for the name of the LORD." - 1 Chronicles 22:19v
