Who are you?
For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. - Romans 12:3
Are you your authentic self when you are with others? To have meaningful relationships, one needs authenticity. Ironically, many of us present a different version of ourselves to be accepted, leading to loneliness, shame, and low self-esteem.
The Well Church, God calls us to be more authentic within our community. The key to being authentic is knowing the basis of our self-worth, which comes from our identity in Christ. Do not evaluate yourself by the standards of the world.
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. - 1 John 3:1-2
Let us be secure in our identity as children of God and take off our masks and be comfortable being our authentic selves with one another.
