Move Mountains

(For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) - John 6:64b

From the beginning, Jesus knew who did not believe and who would betray him. John is unclear if Jesus knew from the beginning of his ministry or the absolute beginning (John 1:1). Regardless, John wants his readers to know that Jesus stayed the course and completed his God-appointed task, fully aware of the betrayal which led to his death.

Dear Church, when facing an impossible task, let us rely on and look to Jesus,

"the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2

What mountain are you facing today? Stay the course, and may Jesus give you the strength and courage to stay the course. Let us live by faith!

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” - Matthew 17:20
