Surrender

The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent officers to arrest him. - John 7:32

When leaders lose authority over their people, they begin to panic. The Pharisees and Sadducees started to panic when a part of the crowd began to believe in Jesus. They use their power and control in an attempt to contain the influence of Jesus. So they send the temple officers to arrest Jesus.

How do you respond when Jesus attempts to address an area of your life that needs to be changed? Do you humbly accept God's prompting and repent or do you run and hide from God? When we run and hide from God, we are no different from leaders who use their authority to contain Jesus' influence.

What area of your life is God addressing today? Let us humbly embrace God's call and surrender today without delay.
