By faith alone

They answered him, "We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, 'You will become free'?" - John 8:33

People often mistake their association with the church and other believers for salvation. Just because one attends church faithfully does not necessarily mean one has saving faith. The Jews thought they were saved because they were direct descendants of Abraham.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, no one is saved by association. As the Apostle Paul states,

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9

Let us remember that we are saved by grace alone through faith alone.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8–9
