Hope has a Name
O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities. Psalm 130:7-8
During Lent, we are called to focus on our relationship with God by turning away from all distractions. We may feel overwhelmed by our sins and unworthy of God's love and forgiveness. But these verses remind us that there is steadfast love and great power to redeem with the LORD.
As we journey through Lent, let us put our hope in the LORD and trust in His power to redeem us from our sins. Let us turn away from our sins and return to God with repentant hearts. Through prayer, fasting, and generosity, let us seek to grow closer to God and deepen our relationship with Him.
Dear Church, remember that Lent is not just a time of sacrifice but also a time of hope, and may this season be a time of renewal and transformation as you return to God with hope and trust in His redeeming love. Amen.
