Do you believe?
Though he had done so many signs before them, they still did not believe in him, John 12:37
In today's passage, we see that though people witnessed the many miracles of Jesus, from turning water into wine in John 2 to the raising of Lazarus from the dead in John 11, they still did not believe in Jesus.
As followers of Christ, we are called to believe in him and trust in his power and love. Yet, just like the people mentioned in this passage, we, too, may struggle with unbelief. It's easy to doubt God when we face difficult circumstances or don't see immediate results in our prayers. But we must remember that God is always at work, even when we can't see it. He is faithful, and His promises are true.
In the book of Hebrews, we read,
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
We must have faith in God, even when we don't understand His ways or our circumstances seem bleak.
Dear Church, let us not be like those who saw the signs of Jesus' power but still refused to believe. Instead, let us trust in God's goodness and sovereignty, knowing He is always working for our good and His glory.
May our faith in God be strengthened as we meditate on His Word and seek to live a life that honors Him.
