And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17

In yesterday's Corner, Jesus emphasized the connection between love and obedience. In continuation, He promises His disciples the gift of the Holy Spirit, who would be their Helper and guide their journey of obedience. Jesus knew obedience to His commandments would be impossible without the Holy Spirit's presence.

The Holy Spirit is not only a source of guidance but also a source of power to live out the life of obedience that Jesus calls us to. We receive the truth and understanding of God's will through the Holy Spirit. He enables us to discern right from wrong, convicting us when we are off track and empowering us to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

Dear Church, let us embrace the promise of the Holy Spirit as we journey in obedience to Christ. Let us rely on His guidance, wisdom, and power, knowing that we are not alone in our pursuit of obedience.
